Slowest RC Car: Which One Should You Get?

When you go to purchase an RC car, you will be faced with many different decisions. While some people want to purchase fast cars, you may be looking for something a little safer for yourself or even a child.

If you are looking for the slowest RC car, but you want a good quality car that will last you a while, you will want to purchase Traxxas cars. Even though these RC cars are normally all extremely fast, they also have some that are slow and will work perfectly for those starting out, or even a young child.

So what RC car is the slowest?

The slowest Traxxas RC car is the Traxxas TRX4 with tank tread tires with a top speed of 5-10MPH. This RC car is a crawler and is designed to be unstoppable on any terrain. While it is definitely the slowest Traxxas RC car, it will get through and over any terrain that other RC cars will not be able to make it through.

Some other RC race cars that will be incredibly slow are the small generic RC cars that can be found at your local Wal-Mart, Target, etc. These RC cars will typically go 5MPH or under. These small RC cars will also have really short battery run times as well so you won’t get much time on the race track with them.

So if you are looking for a slow-moving RC durable car that also has a decent battery life then I would recommend getting the Traxxas TRX4 instead. It will have a much longer battery life while still moving slowly across the ground or rocks.

Just because an RC car is not very fast does not mean that it is not that powerful. This can easily be seen when you look at any type of slow-moving RC car. Most of the time, these RC cars use their power to methodically rotate the tires rather than just make the car go fast.

RC rock crawlers are normally the slowest type of RC hobby vehicle as they are designed to have the power to climb over rocks rather than go fast. Although some small generic toy car racers won’t go very fast either the quality of those remote control cars will also be pretty poor.

Radio control rock crawlers can handle all sorts of different surfaces and terrains while also having the brute strength to handle climbing large rocks (that a fast RC car wouldn’t stand a chance). The powerful electric motors and rechargeable batteries make these rock crawlers next level when compared to other RC models.

What Is A Good Traxxas RC Car For Beginners?

Just because an RC car is slower than others, does not always mean that it is good for beginners. There are many RC cars that you can purchase that are not extremely fast but are hard to drive and operate.

Thankfully, Traxxas RC cars are designed with the user in mind, and they are one of the easiest RC cars to use that you will ever own. Traxxas has many different RC cars for beginners, and we will go over them in this article.

Some of the best Traxxas RC cars for beginners are the Traxxas Slash, the Rustler, the Bandit, and the Stampede. These RC cars are designed with beginners in mind and help them learn how to drive while taking on fast speeds and navigating around every corner.

All of these electric RC cars come with optional LiPo batteries, brushless motors, and powerful acceleration capability. These are far from the fastest RC cars (like the Traxxas XO-1) but they will provide plenty of longevity whether you are a kid or adult.

Each Traxxas RC car has its own strengths and abilities that help the drivers differently. In the next part of this article, you will learn everything you need to know about the different types of cars for beginners and which one is best for you.

The Traxxas Slash

Even though this car is considered a beginner car, it still can easily reach speeds of 30mph! These speeds are on a long straightaway and are not normally reached by a beginner.

The Slash has fully waterproof electronics so you do not have to worry about whether you can race in the rain, or if you will be forced to stay inside. This allows you to take on every adventure without the fear of ruining your RC car.

While some RC cars have uncomfortable controllers, the Slash is comfortable enough to use it all day long! The best part is that the controls can be fully customizable.

This allows you to know your car, and be comfortable with the controls that you choose for your RC car. This RC car also has an antenna that is located inside the car, so it can never be damaged or ruined.

One of the best features of the Traxxas Slash RC car is that it has an electronic speed control on it. This simply means that you can choose how much power the driver has access to when they are using the car. If you want to purchase this car you can do so by clicking here.

If you are just starting off it is recommended to only have 50% of the power so you can learn how to navigate the corners and get a good feel for the RC car. If you start too soon with full power you will easily wreck and damage your Traxxas RC car.

The Traxxas Rustler

This car is good for beginners even though it is fast. This is because it has extremely good control.. This means that even if a driver were to take the corner at a high rate of speed the RC car will grip the ground rather than go flying off into the corner and crash.

The Traxxas Rustler RC car has a top speed of 35 mph. 35 mph seems to be pretty slow when you are thinking about regular vehicles, but for a beginner RC car, it is extremely fast.

Most of the time these courses are indoors and do not have long straight lines so you will never reach the top speed of your RC car.

Even though this car can reach speeds of 35 mph, most people when they first purchase this car, will not even come close to reaching those speeds when they use the car. This is mostly because they are being cautious with the car as they just received it.

The other reason people normally do not reach these speeds is that they are not ready and do not want to wreck the car. As you get better at driving and racing RC cars, you will find yourself taking more risks, and going faster around every corner.

These Traxxas RC cars come ready to use right out of the box, but the best part is that they can be adjusted to not give the user full control of the speed the car has. Basically, you can add a limiter on the car to make sure it does not go over a certain speed.

If you are looking to purchase a Traxxas Rustler, there are many places where you can find them for sale. The easiest place to get a Traxxas Rustler thigh is by clicking here.

Conclusion

Since there are many different RC cars to choose from, you will need to decide which one fits your needs the best. If you are looking for a slow RC car since you are just starting off, you will probably want to go with a smaller 1/16 scale RC car.

These RC cars are slower than the larger 1/10 or 1/6 scale RC cars. This is because the motors on them are smaller as the cars themselves are smaller.

If you want a slower RC car, but also want it to be big, you will want to go with the Traxxas TRX4 with tank tires. This RC car has all the power of a big RC car but does not have a high speed.

The tank tires allow it to go through any obstacle that it comes against without ever getting stuck. This RC car also has high torque which helps keep it from getting stuck. No matter if you are driving this RC car through sand, puddles, or a giant mud puddle, you will never have to worry about getting stuck or needing to be pulled out.

If you want an RC car that is faster but still easy to control you will want to purchase a Traxxas RC car like the Traxxas Slash or the Traxxas Rustler. Both of these cars have good top speeds but are easy to control for beginners.

Both of these RC cars are extremely popular for people who are just starting off, because they can go fast, but can also be limited if you just starting off. If you are a beginner, or an intermediate driver, either one of these cars will be fun for you to own and race with.
